Salem Carriers is hiring a Parts Clerk to support maintenance department with variety of duties

Parts Clerk job responsibilities include:

• Receive and count stock items and record data

• Pack and unpack items to be stocked

• Verify inventory computations

• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner

• Clean and maintain the parts room area to ensure compliance with safety regulations

• Determine proper storage methods, identifications, and part locations

• Return of damaged or defective items to the vendors

• Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued

• Process incoming work orders

• Schedule regular and maintenance service with customers

• Comply with all safety, DOT, and OSHA guidelines

• Adhere to company rules and regulations

• Ensure cleanliness of shop and surrounding areas

• Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of general office administration or parts inventory control required
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work independently, developing people skills, organizational skills
• Good writing and speaking skills required
• Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures
