Provide administrative support for the billing department. Perform a variety of activities to ensure transportation invoices are accurately paid, discrepancies resolved and invoices submitted for payment in a timely manner.

Billing Administrator job responsibilities include:

  • Examines bills to code correctly
  • Answers inquiries from customers regarding rates
  • Researches and processes proof of delivery for customers
  • Responds to customer inquiries and billing related questions in a highly courteous and helpful manner
  • Produces invoices according to customer and company specifications
  • Collaborate and work with various departments to ensure customers billing requirements are being applied
  • Perform a daily audit and make corrections as needed to ensure accuracy
  • Utilize dispatch and billing systems to complete job responsibilities
  • Review all records associated with bills to ensure accuracy
  • Proficient math skills
  • Must have excellent data entry skills
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with customers and employees
  • Must have basic ability to use office equipment such as computer, calculator, photocopier, fax, etc.
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must have a minimum of 1-2 years verifiable billing/customer service experience
  • Prior experience in Transportation field preferred but not required
